We're Going to Ireland!

The first week of November, we will be taking PledgeCents on the road! And by "on the road" we mean on a plane, across the ocean, and all the way to Dublin, Ireland.

We are excited and honored to announce that we have been selected to participate in the web summit as a startup in their ALPHA program.

So what is the Web Summit?

Web Summit is one of the world's biggest tech summits, drawing over 20,000 people from around the world! Technology entrepreneurs, investors, and interested on-lookers gather in Dublin for 3 days to talk tech. The Web Summit started small in 2010 with only about 500 attended, and, over the last 3 years, it has grown into a phenomeonon, drawing some of the biggest names in tech!

And why are we going?

To say that we are looking forward to being in the presence of tech giants like John Collison of Stripe, Padmasree Warrior of Cisco, and Drew Houston of Dropbox (just to name a few) would be the understatement of the century. As a relatively new company, we 100% recognize that we have tons and tons to learn, and who better to learn from than other people who have been in our shoes!

In addition to learning from people and companies that have seen huge amounts of success, we are excited to meet the teams of other startups who are in the same place as we are. Having the chance to host a booth and display what we are doing here at PledgeCents while connecting with other early stage startups from around the world is an amazing opportunity that we simply couldn't pass up. There is nothing quite like sharing your successes and struggles with others and getting to learn from theirs as well.
