The annual ISTE conference is the Mecca of connected educators. Thousand and thousands of motivated teachers and leaders come together to share, advocate, lead, and explore, and tons of amazing ideas are born.
A little while ago, William Jenkins (@Edtech_Stories) approached our team with what he deemed a “crazy idea” about how PledgeCents could help send educators to the ISTE conference in Philadelphia this year. Another way to help teachers? We were definitely on board with the idea, and it was just a matter of figuring out the logistics behind it.
We got the opportunity to talk through some ideas with William and our friend Steve Isaacs (@mr_isaacs), and then came the inspirational #EdTechBridge chat where we were reminded once again just how passionate teachers are about giving their students the absolute best. Sometimes, giving students the best means giving them the most connected, inspired version of yourself.
So, as a huge thank you to all the dedicated educators out there, we bring you, #Get2ISTE. We want to help you make your dream of a trip to ISTE 2015 a reality. When you raise funds on PledgeCents to support your trip to ISTE, not only do you keep what you raise even if you do not meet your goal (because hey, every cent counts, right?), but we are also waiving our fee for all #Get2ISTE causes. We will do everything we can in terms of providing matching opportunities and helping get the word out, but it is up to you to get started.

- Sign up here, and choose “create a cause.”
- Select #Get2ISTE as your organization.
- Create and submit a cause explaining why you want to #Get2ISTE!
Note: All causes must end by June 1, 2015.
