Crowdfunding: The Many Options
Which Platform Is For You
Recently, Scholastic posted an article, Crowdsourcing Your Classroom Funding, that provides tips on how to effectively maximize your efforts when crowdfunding. They mention three education-focused crowdfunding platforms, PledgeCents being one. The chart above was curated by the team at Scholastic to highlight the differences between PledgeCents, DonorsChoose, and Adopt-A-Classroom. Each platform offers different benefits for their users.
Anyone Can Raise Funds: With PledgeCents, anyone is allowed to raise funds for any PreK-12 need. Because of the way we distribute funds directly to the school/organization, we allow any admin, teacher, parent, or community supporter the opportunity to make a difference in their local school or organization.
Matching Opportunities: Our team understands that teachers are not supposed to be fundraising. Teachers are meant to teach. Through our partnerships with philanthropists and businesses, we provide various matching opportunities for our causes. Matching campaigns like #SharingMakesCents allow funds to be raised through the simple act of sharing on Facebook. It can't get any easier than that.
- Keep What You Raise: You should not be penalized if you don't hit your goal. Not everyone hits their goals, but everyone can raise some funds that can still make a difference. Our motto is 'Because Every Cent Counts' because we believe that every cent our causes raise will allow our teachers to not spend as much out-of-pocket and will provide students with more opportunities. __
PledgeCents is built with our teachers for our classrooms. Our major benefits make it easy and fun for funds to be raised for classrooms. The biggest and best compliment that we get from teachers is how much they appreciate and love our customer service. Our team will always be here to help every single Cause Creator, just ask.
If you want to experience the greatness that others already know, then sign up (or sign in) and let us help your students!
