Here's Why You Should Have a One-on-One Call

If you've created a cause this year or have been following us on Twitter, you've received an offer to have a one-on-one call with one of ours founders. While Andy and Ricky do love talking to each and every one of our cause creators, these calls are to help you with your cause and equip you with the strategies you need to succeed. After countless calls, we’ve come up with a few of the top reasons that you should schedule your one-on-one call the next chance you get! Whether you are posting your first cause or a crowdfunding veteran, we want to talk to you and help you be successful so that you don’t spend money for your back to school and year around needs.
1) Personalized advice just for you Our one-on-one calls give us a chance to get to know you, your students, your school, and your need(s) better. By understanding things like how big the school community is, how actively you use Facebook and Twitter or how long you’ve been teaching in your school, we are able to draw from what we’ve seen in teachers’ causes and offer you feedback that fits you. Best of all, we will send you an email after the call that summarizes all the personalized advice and includes relevant examples so that you don’t have to furiously take notes during the call and always have something that you are able to refer to.
2) One-on-one call leads to more funds We’ve found that causes that schedule one-on-one calls raise about 35% more than the average successful cause! That about says it all.

We get giddy every time we hear it! There’s no better way to experience that than our one-on-one calls. Since we aren’t robots, we can make the call whatever you need it to be! We are happy to answer any questions you have, connect you with another teacher or recommend some other great needs (like one of our Preferred Partners) that might suit you perfectly...all you have to do is ask!
4) We do the work and save you time. We know your time is valuable and although we are asking you for 15 minutes of your time, we work to save you much more than 15 minutes on your cause. We will create a custom bitly link and QR code for your cause to help you more easily share your cause whether by including your bitly link in your signature or putting the QR code on a flyer to send home with your students. We provide email templates, media contacts and sample social media posts so you don’t have to reinvent the wheel. We recommend how often to post about your cause and how to best leverage updates…And if you can come up with some other time saving ideas for us, chances are we will do those too!
