Facebook Sharing Competition
With more than 1 billion people active on Facebook each day, it's no wonder it helps your fundraising pages. Facebook is a powerful tool that can help every fundraising page raise more funds and awareness.
But are you familiar with Facebook's alogorithm (aka it's special code that decides which posts to show you)? When you scroll through your Facebook mini-feed, you will notice that the posts that are presented to you are the ones with many likes, comments, and or shares; the "trending" posts.
We have seen Facebook become a very powerful tool that has helped our principals, teachers, and parents raise more funds for their students because more eyes have come to their page through Facebook. The more people who visit, the more people who will contribute. Our data shows that every 1 Facebook share brings in on average $10 contributed to a fundraising page.
We understand that not everyone is able to financially contriubte to your fundraising page. But, everyone is able to share your page to help you win our new Facebook Sharing Competition. In fact, check out the Resources tab in your dashboard so you can get some tips on how to successfully use Facebook to make your post(s) "trending".
Here is how this competition will work:
From Wednesday (12/7) to Friday (12/9), the top 3 fundaising pages with the most Facebook shares will win extra money towards their fundraising page.
- 1st place = $300 prize
- 2nd place = $200 prize
- 3rd place = $100 prize
Below the picture section on your fundraising page, you will see different buttons that you can click to share your cause. In the Facebook button, you will see a number that will show you how many times your fundraising page has been shared. Your goal for this 48 hour competition is to have the highest number next to your Facebook button.
Make sure to check the leaderboard throughout the competition to see how your fundraising cause is doing. Time to share and spread the news :)
