The partnership with WriteSteps adds a variety of writing and grammar programs to the PledgeCents Marketplace
Philadelphia, PA – March 23, 2017 – PledgeCents, which aims to bring resources and opportunities to students across the country by alleviating funding needs, continues to expand its Preferred Partner Program to better collaborate with education companies to increase access to needed resources through its platform. Today announces the addition of WriteSteps, the company behind the award-winning K-5 writing and grammar digital curriculum, to the PledgeCents Marketplace. Teachers will now be able to fund their annual subscriptions using PledgeCents.
“It’s easy to understand the success behind the WriteSteps programs when you see that the team behind the company is made up of former teachers,” said Ricky Johnson, co-founder of PledgeCents. “We have heard from many teachers who are eager to find better solutions to help their students not only improve their writing, but also enjoy it. We believe WriteSteps has found a way to do both, and we are excited for the opportunity to partner with them. Our team is eager to help more teachers fund their WriteSteps’ subscriptions and realize the remarkable results first-hand.”
Through the partnership, teachers and schools will be able to utilize PledgeCents to seamlessly generate a fundraising page to cover the cost of an annual subscription to eWriteSteps, CaptivationStation, or on-site professional development. The PledgeCents team works with each fundraiser to utilize proven strategies to raise the necessary funds and will facilitate the purchase immediately after the fundraiser ends to expedite the process. “Writing is an essential skill that needs to be developed early in education to prepare students for college and careers,” said Suzanne Klein, former teacher and CEO. “We are excited about the impact that WriteSteps is having on student literacy and are thrilled to be working with PledgeCents to prepare even more students for a lifetime of confident writing."
WriteSteps, an award-winning writing and grammar program, was originally developed by Klein to improve her own writing instruction and her students’ test scores. Today, the evidence-based program equips K-5 teachers and students with everything they need to develop their writing craft with confidence. WriteSteps offers multiple programs to meet the needs of teachers including eWriteSteps, a teacher-friendly, digital curriculum that can be used across most technologies, and CaptivationStation, the platform that allows students to publish their work and receive peer and teacher feedback.
