[Press Release] PledgeCents and MusicFirst Partner to Provide Everything Needed to Teach Music in Today’s Connected World

The partnership aims to bring access to MusicFirst’s Online Classroom through the PledgeCents Marketplace.

Philadelphia, PA – July 6, 2017 With budget cuts increasingly impacting music education, solutions specifically targeted to offer opportunities for students to engage with music are more important than ever. PledgeCents’ newest partner, MusicFirst, is on a mission to provide engaging content and integrated software solutions into music classrooms across the country. MusicFirst’s Online Classroom, now available through the PledgeCents Marketplace, provides a platform that music educators can use to connect to over 15 award winning apps that range from helping improve musicianship to developing an understanding of music theory. Solutions provided by MusicFirst can be used by educators at all levels. The partnership enables teachers and parents to gain access to the Online Classroom by helping to offset the cost to get these apps into more students’ hands.

“Music is something that many of us take for granted because it is so easy to access through Pandora or Spotify, but the reality for many of our students is that the classroom may be the only time they get to engage with and have thoughtful discussions about music,” said Andyshea Saberioon, CEO and co-founder of PledgeCents. “MusicFirst provides a platform for music teachers to leverage technology in the classroom in a multitude of meaningful ways, whether it is through improving instruction for a student on a specific instrument or engaging a student in complex music theory. We are excited to join MusicFirst in ensuring that teachers of all levels are able to help nurture a passion for music in their classrooms.“

Through the partnership, teachers and schools will be able to utilize PledgeCents to seamlessly generate a fundraising page to cover the cost of MusicFirst’s Online Classroom. The PledgeCents team works with each fundraiser to help raise the necessary funds and will purchase the plan immediately after the fundraiser ends and also connect the teacher to a member of MusicFirst’s team to expedite the process. Anyone interested can visit https://www.pledgecents.com/signup/event/music-first to create their own page today.

“Our partnership with PledgeCents will allow music teachers and parents to fundraise for the MusicFirst Online Classroom and share engaging, cloud-based music education resources with students regardless of budget limitations,” said Director of MusicFirst, Dr. James Frankel.
