Don't Believe Us...Just Watch

There is a reason why thousands of teachers choose to raise funds on PledgeCents, instead of our "friends". It's not because you keep whatever you raise even if you don't meet your goal, or because you have the power to raise funds for any PreK-12 need, or because we don't mandate you from choosing certain companies to purchase from, or even because we provide top of the line customer service. Well, it's kind of those reasons, but more so...it's because we care. Truly, honestly, literally...we care.

We absolutely dislike seeing a teacher's classroom dreams not being fulfilled, which is why we go out of our way to help make each fundraiser a success. Our fundraiser creators who follow our "Tips for Fundraising Success" raise on average 70% of their goal!!! SEVENTY-PERCENT! They experience such success because they don't just post their page and leave it be and hope someone funds it.

There are tips, tricks, and strategies that you must take into account when you use crowdfunding to raise funds. We know that you may receive a lot of emails from our team, but know it is not because we want to bother you...it's because we really want to help.

When our fundraiser creators act on our tips and tricks, they are able to bring more opportunities and resources to their students. Take Julie Ahern, who has raised over $2,000 for her students at Andrew Cooke Magnet School. Not all in one fundraising effort - $240 for Lakeshore Learning materials; $58 for an annual subscription to our EdTech partner, Sutori; $325 for Scholastic and Sumdog subscriptions...and the list goes on. Press play above to hear her story.

How has Julie done this? Teachers like Julie act on the same advice they give to their students everyday - never give up. If you really believe in something, then go get it. If you are going to take your time to do something, make sure to give it everything you have so you have no regrets. However, we (as adults) become better at giving this advice than actually listening to it. We forget that this advice applies to us as well.

Our hope and advice is that you give yourself a chance and allow 2017 to be the year that you try new things. Here are some insider tips to get you started:

1) People care about you and your students. They want to help. They just need to know how to and where to.

2) Time is of the essence. We understand that, which is why it literally takes you seconds or minutes to create your page with PledgeCents.

3) When you share your page, don't be discouraged if you don't see immediate contributions happen. You can't assume that everyone is going to see that message the first time. Continue to share the page (and have others help you) so you make sure you raise more awareness and funds.
